Privacy policy
Last updated: August 2026. Demo draft for the onmars platform — not legal advice.
This Privacy policy explains how the onmars demo platform ("onmars", "we", "us") may collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our websites, create an account, purchase or stream titles, or contact us. A production launch would tailor this document to specific jurisdictions, processors, and retention schedules.
Overview
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, credentials, and profile details you provide when you register or sign in.
- Transaction data: purchases, payment provider references, entitlement history, and refund or support records linked to your account.
- Playback and device data: device identifiers, app or browser versions, and similar signals used for library access, downloads, and device limits where those features are enabled.
- Marketing signups: if you submit a notify-me or connect form, we store the email and related preferences you provide.
- Technical data: standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, approximate location derived from IP, referrers, and timestamps for security, fraud prevention, and debugging.
How we use information
We use information to operate and improve the Service: authenticate accounts, process purchases, deliver your library, enforce license and device rules, provide customer support, monitor reliability and abuse, and communicate about your orders or material product updates. Where consent is required, we will ask before sending optional marketing messages.
Sharing
We may share personal information with payment processors, cloud hosting and CDN providers, email or messaging vendors, and privacy-friendly analytics providers that process data on our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not sell your personal information as a consumer data broker.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Demo environments may reset or anonymize databases periodically, which can permanently remove sample data.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can update many account details in your account settings, manage cookie preferences on the cookie banner, and contact us for requests we cannot handle in-product. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, playback limits, and—only if you accept—optional analytics. See our Cookie policy at /cookies for details and how to change your choice.
Security
We apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a demo platform, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the equivalent age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Demo and international note
This is a demonstration environment. Data may be processed in the regions where our hosting providers operate. A production service would publish clearer controller details, transfer mechanisms, and country-specific notices where required.
Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent through the channels listed on our Connect section or FAQ. For related rules about using the Service, see our Terms of use.
